I HATE failure with a passion. I have had some very major failures in the past five years. Prior to that, I can’t remember failing at all. Consequently I experienced failure as a gut wrenching, mentally challenging time. Even sort out psychology assistance to help me cope. The upside is that I want my children to experience failures from time to time so that they learn and grow. And even I have come full circle on embracing failures for what they teach us. Definitely prefer success though! Love your insights.

  4. It is so important to reframe our ideas of what ‘failure’ means. It is a bad word for so many. I love the fitness example you gave and hope others will hold value to the gift of failure :)

  5. Real interesting article. Can’t wait to dive into your site!

    Thanks Peter,

Just read your meditation article and then watched this video. Inspirational. Had an insight today that I wanted to share with stressed people today during a training call I was on regarding how we look at things or choose to look at certain events in our lives and hope it helps others.
Be grateful when you are looking at your huge load of laundry that needs to be done, it means you have clothes to wear,
Be grateful for all the deadlines you have to meet, it means you have a job,
Be grateful you have dishes to do, it means you have food in your house.
I know this may seem unrelated to your video but success and failure depend alot on how people look at their circumstances.

  7. Thank you Peter,

A great quote from Henry Ford to illustrate this interview says that: “Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.” If you do so, you can achieve more.
