  1. Thank you, Peter, for this insightful interview. Being an introvert, I, too, feel uncomfortable at networking events and tend to avoid them. But, armed with “In a crowd of 3,000 people, if you’re the one who’s being real, you’ve now distinguished yourself from 3,000 people”, I feel liberated from the prison of trying to be someone else. Because, in fact, it is easier to be yourself than someone you’re not.

    This confirms that while I may have been the weirdo, feeling comfortable has more lasting value that forcing myself on someone for profit. Relationships founded on ego-based posturing don’t last long, anyway. Good to get the reminder.

  3. Great insight on being authentic. I think sometimes it takes that one person to be real which then allows others to lighten up as well..
